1.) The Swiss Transplant Cohort Study (STCS) is a nation-wide prospective multi-site cohort study funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation. The primary objective of the STCS is the provision of long-term high-quality data for clinical research and for monitoring and improving the quality of care in all organ recipients and transplantation clinics in Switzerland.
The STCS seeks a full-time
Clinical Site Monitor
The clinical data manager is located at the STCS data centre at the Basel Institute for Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics, University Hospital Basel and will closely collaborate with the central data managers, the local data managers, the epidemiologist and the Executive Office of the STCS.
Responsibilities and activities
- Establish a comprehensive data monitoring project over the next 2.5 years
- Develop a monitoring protocol and establish all necessary documents
- Organize and conduct the site visits (including source documentation, CRFs, Laboratory Reports, Informed consent etc)
- Analyze the results of the monitoring process using statistical methods and graphical representation, write and distribute the monitoring reports
- Following the monitoring process, assist in the implementation of the necessary arrangements to enhance data quality and standardized data collection
- Organize and chair endpoint committee meetings
- Opportunity for independent and creative working activity with scientific collaboration and publication
Requirements
- Experience in the conduct and monitoring of clinical studies; project management experience
- Ready to travel in Switzerland
- Knowledge of statistical software of advantage, computer literacy
- Knowledge in medical terminology, application of clinical research guidelines (ICH-/GCP) and ICD coding of great advantage
- Good skills in English (o/w), knowledge of French and German of advantage
- Excellent communication strategies and interpersonal skills, open-minded personality

- Develop and implement a data quality plan
- Review, support and advance the current data validation process
- Establish a consistent documentation of the data management process
- Maintain and improve existing standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Assist investigators in the set-up and conduct of nested STCS projects
- Assist in data quality reporting and generation of regular cohort reports
Requirements
- Experience in clinical data management from the pharmaceutical industry, CRO or clinical trial unit
- Good knowledge of data management software and SAS
- Knowledge in medical terminology and application of clinical research guidelines
- Good skills in English (o/w), knowledge of French and German of advantage
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Junior Researcher (80-100%)
The applicant should have a MD degree and preferably basic training in epidemiology. Experience with a statistical software (Stata) would be an advantage. Applicant should enjoy working in a international environment. Good German and English skills are important, basic skills in French are an advantage.
Your responsabilities are:
- Conduct and manage under close supervision a large clinical trial for optimising antibiotic use in primary health care
- Contribute to the evaluation and evidence synthesis of diagnostic tests and diagnostic technologies
- Develop and conduct health services research projects in primary health care
- Teach the principles of evidence-based medicine and critical appraisal to 3rd year medical students
